I was raised and educated in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. I received a degree in health care (DDS) from the University of Toronto in 1973. I practiced in the KW area for 30 years. In 2001, I completed my degree (Master of Theological Studies) from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (now Lutheran Seminary), at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. In 2012, with my spouse Lynn, we moved from Ontario to Victoria, BC. Lynn and I have five children and nine grandchildren, ranging in age from three months to Twenty-one years.
For many years I have been a member of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, as a national board member and as the co-chair of the 2014 RASC National Assembly, held here in Victoria, BC. I enjoy astronomy, photography, wood-working, gardening and watching golf and curling. I love to cook, to travel to distant places to view the night skies and the wonders of God's ever-changing Creation.
I have been active in the Anglican communion since 1971, and as a liturgical assistant since 1976 in several parishes in Kitchener-Waterloo; and as a postulant for ordained ministry at Christ Church Cathedral, Victoria; St Michael and All Angels, Royal Oak; and the Parish of St Peter and St Paul, here in Esquimalt, since 2013. On December 12, 2017, I was ordained as a deacon-in-transition (non-stipendiary) and assigned to The Church of The Advent, in Colwood/Langford.
On June 29th , 2018, I was ordained by Bishop Logan McMenamie, Bishop of the Diocese of British Columbia, to the sacred order of presbyters (priest). I am happy to be assisting at The Church of The Advent, in Colwood/Langford (Victoria, BC), as associate priest (non-stipendiary).
Lynn and I reside in View Royal and both enjoy our condominium home, which we share with our small dog, Harley.
