Family Games Night this Saturday!

Family Games Night this Saturday!

March 8th, 5 PM

Do you enjoy boardgames? Feel like getting together with friends for some games, snacks and plenty of laughs?

Then join us for the first of many Church of the Advent Family Boardgame Nights. Whether you’re a classical purist who digs Risk and Monopoly, or you’re into trying something new like Settlers of Catan or  7 Wonders; there will be tons of games for everyone. Party games, strategy games, dice, cards…you name it! We will also have a rules explainer available, so you don’t have to plug through an instruction manual for 20 minutes to figure out the games. Feel like sharing your favourite game with friends? Bring it along!

Did we mention snacks and drinks? That’s right! In true boardgame café style, we will have bowlfuls of snacks, popcorn, and drinks available to keep tummies from grumbling. All proceeds will go to the Coffee Fund.  So come feeling ‘snacky’!

Come out and enjoy the spirit of fellowship mixed with a little healthy competition and plenty of fun this Saturday March 8th starting at 5pm. See you there!

Supporting Connection Point Resource Centre

Connection Point Resource Centre in Langford on Goldstream Avenue is a welcoming landing place where people feel safe and can find encouragement, hope, and love, regardless of where they may be on their spiritual journey.

This location officially opened in 2021 as a familiar place for the Westshore community. The centre offers a bread shelf, a free fridge, and access to case workers for anyone in the community. During the freezing temperatures we recently experienced, Connection Point opened as a warming Centre.

For the month of March, we will be collecting hamper items for the Centre. Thank you for your support.

Community Coffee Social

Community Coffee Social

Second Wednesday of the Month Beginning April 9th

We are very excited to announce that we will be starting a brand-new monthly event called "Community Coffee Social."

The Coffee Social will be held the second Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to 11 am in the hall and is for anyone from the community and parish to gather socially. We recognize a real need within the community for more opportunities to connect with one another. Our Compassion in Action liaison, Jeannine, is working with a small group to launch this ministry. We warmly welcome you to come and spend some time in a relaxing and social environment. Bring your friends too! Our first Community Coffee Social begins on April 9th. Hope to see you there!

Lenten Day Retreat - The Spiral of Transformation

Lenten Day Retreat - The Spiral of Transformation

March 8, 2025 10am - 3pm Holy Trinity Parish Hall 1325 Mills Road, North Saanich BC

A retreat is exactly what we need this Lent to not spiral out of control spiritually. Instead let’s retreat together to spiral towards transformation. Let’s see just how possible it is to integrate loss and change into our spiritual journey’s and find new energy for our lives.

Your guide and facilitator, Denise Doerksen will present you with several spiritual exercises to aid you in this personal journey. It will be a day of entering into the difficulties we have traversing the known pathways of our lives and what is unknown, and finding a way to integrate, grow and be transformed in the process.

  • Gather in the parish hall at 10am for introductions and refreshments.
  • Instruction on each of the Spiritual Exercises will occur in the hall as a group and then you will be given personal time to explore these exercises in the church and/or in the gardens.
  • Lunch will be provided
  • Donations gladly accepted

Register with Rev. Denise at incumbent@holytrinityns.org
