Ladies Guild Lunch - May 18th @ 12 pm
The monthly community lunches are back again! The first one will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 12 to 12:30 pm in the Main Hall. Tickets are $10 each and include a delicious meal of soup and sandwiches, followed with dessert and coffee/tea. After May's luncheon, the Ladies Guild will break for the summer. The monthly lunches will resume in September when the Guild reconvenes. |

We Want to Hear From You
During the coffee hour in the Main Hall on Sunday, May 1st, we are planning an informal parish discussion about our Narthex. This is for anyone who is interested in joining the discussion. Before Parish Council makes any decisions, we want to hear your ideas on ways we can freshen up the Narthex space so that it becomes a tidy, warm and welcoming first impression for everyone who enters through our doors. So come one, come all, prepared with your thinking caps on for coffee hour on May 1st! |

Become a cathedral tour guide!Christ Church Cathedral looking to train new tour guides for the season Calling all history, architecture, and storytelling buffs. We are looking to train volunteer tour guides for the 2022 tourism season. If you or anyone you know might be interested, come find out what it takes at our info session on Thursday, May 12th at 10.00 a.m. in the Chapter Room (access off Burdett Ave). Refreshments will be provided. No need to RSVP – the meeting is drop in. We will have experienced guides on hand and will share information about the different tours we plan to offer. Registration is Now Open for This Year's Amazing Journey Day Camp
The annual Amazing Journey Day Camp will be happening this year July 4th to July 8th. This small group program will be held from 9 am to noon outdoors at St. George's, Cadboro Bay. Children born January 1, 2011 to June 30, 2018 are eligible to be campers. All campers and volunteers eligible to vaccinated must show proof of vaccination (subject to change as the COVID-19 situation evolves). Children with special needs may attend. Registration is now open for this year's Amazing Journey Camp. The registration form is also available below to print and fill in. Completed registration forms (with registration fees) can be returned to: Please make cheques payable to Lutheran Church of the Cross and write “Amazing Journey” on the memo line. Completed registration forms can also be scanned and e-mailed to amazing4kids17@gmail.com. If you wish to pay by e-transfer, please contact Lutheran Church of the Cross at lutheranchurchofthecross@shaw.ca or call 250-477-6222. Early Bird Registration Fees are $40 - 1st child, $35.00 - 2nd child, $30.00 - 3rd and additional child. Early Bird Registration Deadline is Sunday, May 15th. Registration fees after May 15th are $10 more per child. Registration final deadline is June 26, 2022.
